Chosen Summary

Chosen is about Zoey RedBird trying to do the right thing for everyone in The House of Night, including herself, her grandmother, Nyx and her best friend Stevie Rae, who has become a violent, soulless vampyre who needs to drink human blood everyday.

Zoey's relationship with Loren Blake develops and she loses her virginity to him, to later find out he was using her to get information to pass on to Neferet. Towards the end of the novel, Blake is killed. Arms sideward with a some verses of the bible with him.

However, Stevie Rae has managed to keep a small portion of her soul due to her affinity for Earth, Zoey begins to work on retrieving the rest of her soul. On her way, Zoey runs into some difficulties and is faced with saving her almost ex-boyfriend Heath and is rewarded with powers and tattoos by the goddess Nyx.
